J.-Rob is the name adopted by a collection of
talented musicians and singers led by veteran vocalist Jesse Robinson.
Jesse has performed professionally since the age
of 14. He made his national debut in the mid-1980s with the
R & B quartet Transit Authority and their Top 40 single, "You Make My
Life So Right.", written by Bob Seger's "Old Time Rock and Roll"
writer, Tom Jones.
Jesse and Transit Authority were the hit of
the Jack the Rapper convention in Atlanta, Georgia that year, and
garnered an invitation to perform on the nationally syndicated
television show, Soul Train.
A new millennium continues with Jesse
Robinson as the leader of his own act, highlighting strong vocals,
top-notch musicianship and the versatility to perform numbers from all
